Jen is a born and raised Calgarian. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Dental Hygiene. She initially started her hygiene career in Edmonton where she decided to give back to the community by joining a dental volunteer group called Kindness in Action. She had the opportunity to travel to several developing countries over the years to provide free access to dental care. During her volunteer missions, she met a dentist who had a passion for myofunctional therapy. This was the beginning of her myofunctional therapy journey.

Jen has a passion for increasing her knowledge in the dental field by completing several certifications. Her goal is to help her patients through educating and showing them the necessary tools to improve not only their oral health but as well as their overall health. In 2020, she completed her Pre-Certification Course with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). She is currently on the certification track for C.O.M..

Outside of dental, Jen’s spare time is spent with her family. They enjoy spending time outdoors, and playing board games. Also, Jen loves spending time in her garden and learning new recipes for her family to try.
