About

My path to becoming a myofunctional therapist began with the health challenges my family and I faced firsthand. I struggled with TMJD, living with constant jaw pain, tension headaches, and fatigue. At the same time, my husband’s severe sleep apnea affected both of our lives, leaving him drained and restless every day. As a family, we were determined to find answers and solutions to improve our well-being.

Our journey deepened when our youngest daughter needed a tonsillectomy and a tongue tie release. She faced difficulty with breathing and alignment, undergoing braces not once but three times. Meanwhile, our oldest daughter dealt with missing teeth, braces, and persistent chronic fatigue that impacted her daily life.

It was during these experiences that I discovered myofunctional therapy, and it changed everything for us. I initially sought out the therapy for my TMJD, but as I learned more, I realized how interconnected our body’s functions are. Proper breathing, tongue posture, and airway health became central to our healing.

The impact was transformative for all of us. My TMJD symptoms began to ease, my husband’s sleep apnea improved, and my daughters both started to thrive with better health and vitality. Myofunctional therapy became the key to addressing not just the symptoms, but the root causes of the issues we were facing.

This journey inspired me to become a myofunctional therapist so I could help others experience the same transformation. I’m passionate about working with families to improve their health, breathing, and overall quality of life, and I’m honored to share the tools that made such a difference for us.
