Lauren Hughes is a speech-language pathologist and the founder/owner of Expressions Pediatric Therapy in Birmingham, AL. She opened the clinic in 2018 to address the community's needs for specialized speech and feeding therapy,.. Driven by a passion for uncovering the root cause of any issue, she pursued certification as a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), which provided advanced training for understanding and treating complex issues related to speech and feeding disorders.

Lauren is dedicated to ongoing learning and has completed various advanced training programs to better help her patients. She works closely with other health professionals, such as dentists and occupational therapists, to provide personalized care. Lauren also enjoys mentoring other speech therapists and is involved in professional groups that connect her with other clinic owners across the state and country.
