Chris Zombek began her dental career 35 years ago as a cert. dental asst and reg. dental hygienist. She is a current and proud member of American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA). After completing training in orofacial myofunction, she became certitfied by the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and has been practicing since 2014. She was the first registered dental hygienist (RDH) to practice and certify in Maryland. She is the owner of the successful IMT-Innovative Myo Therapy, a practice focusing solely on orofacial myofunctional therapy. She has served on the education committee and the board of directors for the IAOM for a total of nine years. She also holds additional certifications in womens health and nutrition which can affect their sleep/airway. She is also a member of AOMT and IAAH organizations specific to helping professionals in oral function and airway sector. She has been a TBI ambassador since they started their program and stays current with the ambassadorship. In addition to providing direct patient care, Chris has collaborated and educated the dental and medical community on orofacial myofunctional disorders and therapy a since 2015. Her focus is on interprofessional collaboration to best care for her patients. The greatest reward is witnessing the impactful transitions her patients experience in their therapy while gaining oral functional health.
